Dr. Weistroffer is an assistant professor in orthopaedic surgery and neurological surgery and is the director of the Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. His clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, as well as complex reconstructive surgery of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
Dr. Weistroffer serves as the chairman of the Leadership Development Endowment Fund and is a member of the Advocacy Resource Committee for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). Awards and accolades include numerous awards of military distinction and leadership positions in military and civilian medicine.
After graduating from the United States Naval Academy and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Dr. Weistroffer completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, followed by a spine fellowship at the Twin Cities Spine Center.
