Lisa N. Masters named lay member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Board of Directors
ROSEMONT, Ill. (March 15, 2021)—Bank of America executive Lisa N. Masters was appointed lay member to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) Board of Directors.
Masters serves as Leadership Development executive for Bank of America providing strategic direction on key talent initiatives across the firm, bringing to bear her almost three decades of Human Resources (HR) experience. She assumed this role after five years as head of Learning and Leadership Development, where she was responsible for the learning, talent and succession management, leadership development, and organizational design and effectiveness programs for Bank of America’s more than 200,000 employees worldwide.
Masters has worked at Bank of America since 1987. Her previous roles include serving as the HR executive responsible for supporting the global HR function; overseeing leadership development for various business units, including Global Wealth & Investment Management, Global Commercial Banking, and Legacy Asset Servicing, as well as enterprise control functions. Masters has also held various positions in the firm’s finance, audit and communications divisions.
During her tenure, Masters has served on Bank of America’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Council, as the enterprise executive sponsor for the firm’s Intergenerational Employee Network, and as the enterprise market sponsor for Tallahassee, Fla., supporting local leadership in delivering Bank of America’s full capabilities to the market. She currently serves as president of the Board of Directors for the Atlanta-based Southern Crescent Chorale and as Leadership Development Officer for Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for women.
Masters earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from Emory University.
She resides in Atlanta and New York.
